3rd Generation Questions about gen3 Camry exhaust tip

Hello All,

Have a quick question for those who are familiar with the Gen 3 Camry exhaust tips, I have a 94 V6 XLE with 2 tips in the back and recently someone hit my car from the back and went under my bumper, nothing was really damaged other than they have messed up the exhaust tips.

I have been meaning to replace them and have seen pricing from $6 dollar to $100 for each, while I am not the performance ricer type that need to have something chromed out with blue flames on the side, I would at least want something that either resembles the stock tips.

I am considering getting this one but am afraid that it might be too wide when I put these on side by side.

or maybe this one with the slant tip that resembles more to my stock tip.

my question is, what is the measurement at the end stands for and for the stock v6 xle, what size should I be getting.

Thank you for your response in advance, I found this website recently when I had a blinking O/D OFF light trying to find answers and realized it was the winter cold combined with my lack of warming up the car that cause it to throw a light.

another stupid question, should i even bother trying to fit 9007 lights for my headlights or are they simply not compatible? (can i file down or clip out some plastic to use the 9007 as my low and high beam?)

Exhaust tips that are aftermarket have a bolt or series of bolts to hold them in place so size isn't too important. 2 1/2 or 3 will be fine.

I personally like the first one.

You could probably file down the connectors on the headlamps, just don't screw it up. They can get expensive. Also, don't touch the glass with your bare hands. Wear latex gloves to prevent your skin oils getting on them!

You mean if the inside diameter of the tip is larger than your exhaust?

That's what the bolts are for! The bolts I've seen on tips are usually pretty long so you could probably put like a 4" tip on a Honda's 1.5" exhaust!

Walmart has some pretty cheap tips too.

the 2 tips are side by side, if the new ones i buy is bigger than the old one, would i have a problem getting them on?

Oh. I see what you mean now. I don't see an issue of it unless the bumper hangs down a little around the tips. If so then I'd go for a single tip unless you can measure it.

I have decided to just take them out and see if I can bang them back into shape with a hammer or something.

The one on amazon while is dirt cheap, i'd probably don't want to get stuck with tips that are too big or uneven on the car.

Thanks

Doesn't look too bad. Can you slide it out a little bit? If you can, that would help I think.

The wal-mart tips aren't bad. I never thought I'd say that about wal-mart stuff for my car. But then again it's just exhaust tips. I got mine for $5 each about 4 or 5 years ago and they're still fine. Check out the link to my cardomain page. I've got a couple of pics from the back that show them. They don't look bad.

oh nice, they look stock and I'd suppose I will stop by the walmart in Westbury, Long Island to see if they got these thing.

The wally world in NY are pretty crappy and have a limited selection, lets hope they might have them, otherwise maybe I will just stop by a pep boys or auto zone to see if they have 5 dollar tips.

Thanks!
