Tires for 2000 CE

Had Goodyear TripleTreds installed at 80,000 miles. Religiously rotated every 5,000 and kept at 32psi every other gas fillup. Now at 130,000 they are slidding all over the place. Virtually no tread on inside / outside outer portion of all 4 tires and 3/32 in what is left of the tread in the middle of the tires. Any and all suggestions appreciated, especially what tires should I replace them with. Am in N. Ohio so there is snow / ice / Cleveland Browns. Thanks in advance.

50,000 miles off one set of tires is pretty good!

My last pair lasted me 5,000 at the most. Pieces of shit.

Here's a tip: Don't go cheap. Spend the extra money, it could save your life.

Get goodyear or michelin.

i went econo and got myself a pair of Hankook Mileage plus II, so far so good and going to get the other pair this weekend.

i drive in NYC/NJ and it managed through the snow and ice we had a few weeks ago fine

otherwise go with michelin, they have a promo at costco now with buy 4 get 70 off (will at least cover the $14 per tire installation)

Michelin Primacy MXV at Costco. Great deal. Nitrogen fill. Excellent road hazard and free rotation/balance service. $70 off 4 tires. However, if you're getting snow check out Michelin X-Ice.

Let's read this thoroughly.

1) You got 50k out of a set of tires? That's great.

2) You need an alignment or have something wrong in the suspension to be chewing up the inside of the tires and the middle to have 3/32nds. 2-3/32nds are where tires should be swapped.

3) I'm a huge Michelin fan, buy the best tire you can afford, it's the only thing between you and the road.

Never buy from giant retailers...make friends with a local small tire shop and it can be the best thing for you and your car. My family had always gotten tires at Sears and until we made friends with the local guy that was just way too much.

BTW stay away from Goodyear Eagle RS/A haha great dry handling but iffy on the wet/snow

I actually didn't want the Primacy MXV4s.. I blame it on a past bad experience with Energy MXV4s with an identical tread pattern. Because my mom and I both don't drive much, I opted to special order the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S tires during Costco's promotion.. They're stickier so they're only rated for 45K miles, and that's perfect for me at 8K miles driven annually. My mom drives 3K miles a year so I have to replace her tires due to age (cracking, etc..) anyway, well before they are worn out.

I'm STILL impressed with the Exaltos 10K miles out. They feel extremely secure in the rain and stick to the road like glue. AND I feel much better knowing my mom's got a good set of tires on her Camry too
