Camry 1999 XLE - Speaker

I have a Camry XLE 1999 and my front right speaker blow the other day. So I figured might as well change both of the front speakers, I just wanted to know if anyone knew the size of the speakers and perhaps some quick tips on how to install them. Thanks in advance.

yeah 6.5 is the most common size to fit, and you might want to try and get some kind of adapter plate for the speaker to get it to fit properly as the hole uses 3 screws instead of the normal 4. I will be installing that myself today and I will take pictures aswell, I will see about making a tut for it.

changing out the front speakers should be simple. just take off the door panel, i believe there's a how-to with pics in the thread where it shows you how to change your window motor...then it should come out and you just put the other one in. the size should also be 6.5 as stated above. i suggest polk audio db series, decently priced (under 80) and sound great.

Oddly my front door speakers had adapters on them from the factory, I just unscrewed the original speaker and using the adapter I had already bought as a 5 3/4 to 6.5 inch adapter and put it in. you may have the same thing on yours, mine is a 98 they may not have changed it much in the year or so between.
