I'm assuming you know that the "oil light", does not mean the car is low on oil or in need of oil change, but rather due to low oil pressure. You should not be operating the vehicle when the oil light is on, as driving an engine that is low on oil pressure will cause it to seize and make the engine useless as there is not enough oil circulation.

I would suggest you use an individual oil pressure reading unit to see if the car's own oil pressure sensor is working properly. It may just be the sensor and not actually low pressure. If not, your problem will likely be much larger.

well changed the oil/filter and jiggled the oil pressure sensor wire and no more light at all yesterday it was on all the time it might have been a compounded problem however the filter was full of oil and the upper end looks/ sounds good

thanks for the ambition and help
