Found a coupe, Worth buying?

Here is the ad;

LOOK 1996 TOYOTA CAMRY V/6 AUTO OBO - $1950
"this car runs and drives great has 180k miles but drives like 50k no joke the body is streight and the interior is clean tires are good cold a/c hot heater. sunroof awesome stereo system im way under the book value"

I had a 93 LE as my first car, it was ok until I wrecked it. Then I started staring at some Solara; TRD everything but auto v6. I passed due to too many mechanical problems.

What should I keep an eye on with a vehicle with so much mileage? The body seems solid and straight from the pictures. Im not sure if the 96 models came with the 1MZ or 3VZ. If it is the 1MZ, is sludging an issue with this year?

I know so many questions. I have a Tacoma now, but Its hard to modify it without a spare incase I can't finish working on it. I was thinking about offering 1700 cash, think they'll bite?

alot of people don"t have money to buy cars right now. If you really want it, don't offer whatever you will pay, lowball and move up, slowly and wait for counter offers. Remember, there are other Camrys that will be for sale.

2nd on the VIN check. Ask the seller if it's a salvage title, rebuilt/replaced engine/trans/body parts. Take a peek into the engine through the oil cap. Also, check under the oil cap fer sludge.

the driver side door is clearly a different shade of white than the surrounding panels. this car either has been in an accident considering the front bumper or maybe he has been replacing panels to subsidize rust. either way.. some questions need to be answered.... haggle!

Yeah the pictures kinda blurry but it looks like it even says LE instead of V6 LE.. i'd be kinda iffy about even checking out a car like that especially with different colored body parts, and high mileage [plus price isn't too eye-catching]

I'll just build up my tacoma and wait till i make more money to buy a project/weekend warrior car.
