Pretty sure it's gonna be R12 unless somebody did a retrofit somewhere along the way. Should be a sticker on the underside of the hood. Also, pull one of the service fittings -- if they look like an air compressor fitting, they're R134, if they have threads on the outside, they're R12.

It may be difficult to find a place that will still offer R12. If you do find an A/C shop with R12 expect the refrigerant alone to be very expensive. You'll first need to find why you're not getting cool air, if it's a leak that will need to be fixed before any recharge. There are long discussions here and other forums about conversion to R134a and whether or not the result is successful. For one, if you have a leak and convert to 134a, it will leak faster than the R12. There are a couple of direct replacements for R12, like Freeze12 and Enviro-Safe but if you have little to no A/C knowledge or experience, not to mention the necessary tools, you'll cost yourself more than any savings from DIY. How much you want to spend may depend on how long you intend to keep that 92 Camry.
