3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Starting next Monday I'll be starting my retrofit, and I'm giving it a full week's time to get done so no rushing.
Yesterday, I built angel eyes that I will also be retrofitting. I'll be sanding down the headlights for Acura MDX projectors [almost identical to the 2007-2010 Camry Projectors]. Have an H11 6000K HID kit ready to be used. Will be modifying MDX projectors to get rid of squirrel spotters and also creating a flat cutoff line through and through.
Here are the custom built angel eyes so far, waiting on the LEDs to come in:
The projectors got mailed to my other home so no pics yet
Looks like the beginnings of a successful project. If you have any questions regarding anything feel free to post them up, better to ask before you cut/drill/ect.
Well I'm going to clear the stock lens for three reasons.
1. Because all the pictures of it being done are gone.
2. Because I'm really short on cash but this is something I need to do to get my car safer at night.
3. Inspire others that it CAN be done on low budget and look nice.
Basically these are Acura MDX projectors from 2003, almost identical to the new Camry projectors and they use H11 bulbs. I have HID kit for it ready to be fired up.
I had to modify them to cover up the squirrel spotters because of the HID kit and I also wanted a flat cutoff line so I created my own cutoff shield.
Looks great and the cutoff is crisp, will get pictures of that soon.
