Driver's side Master Switch

2000 Camry LE, I4. I'm trying to put in a master door switch from a 2000 Camry XLE v6. Both use the same type of connector. As soon as I connect the other switch, the big pink fuse blows. If the car is not on, then it blows as soon as I turn the key.

Have any of you ever ran into this? Why in the world would this other switch cause the fuse to blow? ...and why would it do it so instantly? I don't even have to push a button...

I also put in the new switches for the front passenger door. The door switch for that panel actually required a different connector for some reason. I swapped connectors on the wiring, and it works just fine. The new rear window controls on the new door panels work fine too. So it seems to just be this driver's side master control switch that is having the problem.

You might ask, why not just use the old master switch? These new interior parts come with a wood trim design. Including the trim around all of the door/window switches. The two new front door switches are slightly smaller than the ones from my LE. Same exact buttons, just slightly smaller. So the new wood trim does not fit around the old master switch assembly so well. Maybe with some modification, but it would end up being a hack job at best.

All ideas welcome!

Well, although nobody was able to help... I figured it out anyway.

The wires in the connector on the XLE are arranged COMPLETELY different. So, I'll have to rearrange the wires in my connector to match the other cars', and it should work.

Makes sense why the fuse blew so quickly...
