1992 camry 4cyl to 6cyl? should I

I have two 1992 camry's one is a 4 cyl that sent a rod through the block. The body and interior is in great shape. The other is a 6 cyl that only has 40,000 miles on it. I want to put the 6 into the 4. The biggest challenge look's like it will be changing the computer. Does any one know, do I have to take all the wires running thru the firewall or will the computer plug into the same connections. Any other info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If the 6 has only 40k on it, why bother?

Just pulled the wiring harness thru the firewall. Looks like it won't be to bad. I think I will be able to pick the engine up with out unhooking any wires from the motor itself. Do the same with the 6 cyl and swap out the computers and hopefully I'll be good to go. Ha, it's never that easy who am I kidding!

lol good luck, you'll need ALL the wiring harness's including the dash, cowl, engine and accessory. the cluster. the master cylinder. and the steering knuckles. and all the power steering lines. and emissions crap. and the radiator with fan.

if you dont mind the work, go for it. although many will suggest just buying a new(used) car
