strut or insert

yesterday i posted about getting coilovers(probably will), but just in case i change my mind, i have to know are these strut or inserts?...i know i know its been discussed millions of times before, buuutttt all i need is to confirm it..so please dont bash me on this guys...

those look like the rebuildable ones, plus having a 93 most were rebuildable.

and why does it look different from this insert strut?

is it because mine are the front ones and the ones in the pics are the rear ones??

rebuildable means you can remove the strut cartridge. are the ones on the car now toyota OEM? the retainer thingy(gota love technical teminology) looks different but still servicable/rebuldable.

i not sure if they are oem, i bought my car three years ago and never bother to look until i realized that my strut is dead....

so how much do the shops usually charge to change the strut??

While the struts are still installed on the vehicle, what should I look for to know if they are the type that take inserts, or if they are sealed.??
