There are so many "cheap speed" platforms out there that you would have to be insane to bother with a 4 banger camry. You do not drive an overpowered sports coupe, you drive a underpowered family car. There is no economical solution to that problem short of buying an overpowered sports coupe.

Welcome to TN, all the answers you seek can be had by searching first. it seems ya already have some stuff. take a look around and then post up again with a more specific part or objective you need information on, that is how this forum is the most helpful. feel free to post up pics of your ride too, we are pic whores.

hint: 5 speed swap

thought i recognized it. well theres plenty out there about these few parts avalible...thats part of the reason for the shit giving. ebay is the best place to find anything for the 5sfe unless your getting into a real build, then its mostly custom.

your pretty much limited to lighter pullies and headers unless you go custom and big money. which wont make much of a difference on an auto tranny.

That's exactly why I kept my camry as a platform for modding (instead of trying to score an 302 Explorer/Mustang/E30 3-series).

Sure, it's an old family sedan (though not underpowered in my case ), but that's the trick of it. It's original. There's no bolt-on parts, so everything is custom, and therefore original. And, most importantly, if a cop has to choose between annoying me, or some kid in a civic, guess who he'll pick? Not the "old, underpowered Camry"

Bird, put more reasons as to why the Gen3 is a good platform for modding
