wheel wont stop shaking, please help!

I got all new tires and rims, and the shop balanced them 3 times already. The steering wheel still shakes. I have motegi rims and bfgoodrich tires. I have no idea what it could be. I was told the tie-rods are fine and everything looks to be normal. Can anyone please help me. I have a 99 I-4 Camry by the way.

Did it shake before the new wheels and tires?

What sort of balancing machine did the shop use? Some of the crappier ones won't balance out some types of dynamic imbalance. The high-end Hunter machines (9700, etc.) or the equivalent tend to give better results than low-end balancers.

Put the old rims and tires back on and see if the shaking goes away.

If so get warranty return on the new stuff.

i got the tires through sam's club, they have very good balancing machines. the old rims are gone now, but the old tires i had made alot of road noise and vibrated. i think thats what started the problem and those tires shook as well. they were just a temp set of tires and rims because the car is 10 years old and sat in my grandmothers garage and had the original tires on it from 99 which were dry rotted

Try moving the fronts to the rear and see if there is any difference. If so, it's tires / wheels. If not, it could be something bent. An axle can cause vibrations if a CV is going or it has been bent. Slop in the tie-rods can also cause a shimmy.

Make sure your alignment is spot on as well.

I'd think Sams's Club is as good as Costco doing the tires. So basically the old shook as bad as the new? Then you have to check your suspension/steering systems.

Is there free play at the wheel when on jack stands and you try to push in the 12-6 o'clock and 3-9 o'clock positions?

Even if you don't feel any free play the wheel bearings may be bad or the wheel hub out of round. So use a dial gauge to see if you have more than 4 mils of runout.

Checked the ball joints and lower control arm bushings?

How are the struts? Are they absorbing road shocks? Gen 4 have problematic front mounts. But that's mostly noise problems. Not sure if the struts are moving around because of loose mount??
