Transmission swap A540E A541E

I have a 93 Camry V6 Automatic with a toasted tranny. Car has 130K miles. 3VZFE with A540E tranny. I have the opportunity to buy a rebuilt A541E from a 95 Lexus E300 with only 10K on it.
I believe the A541E will bolt up properly but I understand that there are electronic differences. Is it possible to swap out the ECU from a newer Camry or ES300 and use the A541E? Are there other incompatibilities as far as wiring harness, etc that would not make it work properly

Thanks in advance for your input

you can't swap out the ECUs since your 93 (3vz-fe) has a different motor than the 95 (1mz-fe), one is obdI, the other is obdII, different ignition, snesors, etc. etc. sorry.

darn

Eye8 - thanks for the reply. That's kind of what I thought but wanted to make sure before I shelled out any money. It makes sense with the OBDCII and all.

don't x it out yet.

check a wiring diagram of both trannies and see what the difference is. you might need to swap one wire over or nothing at all.

edit:there are a couple of added on wires. not sure how it would work. pass on it dude.
