Trans question

I have a 98 Camry 260,000 miles. The car has been parked for 10 mo's.
I was told I may have a problem with the trans seal being dried out.
Does anyone know if this is correct. Also is there anything else I need
to worry about or fix B4 I try to crank the car?

Of course it's possible, if so you'll have to replace it.

If you crank it and it leaks, you'll still have to replace it.

I would just go ahead and drive it. This way you know what works/leaks and what doesnt and you can fix it.

put a little oil in the VC port before cranking, that will lube stuff a little better before the initial start, then give it a couple cranks before really starting it so it throw some oil around.

the seal will leak if dry, theres nothing you can do but replace it if it does so judt give it a shot.

What ever you do never add products that imply they'll stop a trans leak as fix for anything.

It'll only leak worse later.
