Question Windshield wipers?

My OEM Toyota wipers are making a ton of noise whenever I run them. The rubber isn't seperating yet and I see nothing broken...

Does this mean I need to replace them? What's a good brand for replacements (don't have to be Toyota)?

I usually use NAPA wiper refills. But, as the saying goes, 'tho, "the very best is not so good".

BTW, most places would much rather sell you a whole new blade rather than a refill -- don't fall for it...blades can go for 5+ years between replacements...refills start to degrade after 6 months, and usually suck ass by 12 months.

Aren't those like $20 each?

I like hill's idea of just getting refills.

I guess I would do a cost comparison? I always get michelin's from Walmart. Both under $20.

Though, the blades don't really matter too much if you're windshield is dirty.

I think I paid 16 bucks for a pair of RainX wipers, and they're great.

I just use the silicone ones. They're still ok after almost 2 years. The heat of the windshield degrades the regular rubber. That's why people lock their wipers up away from the windshield when parked under the sun. That's also the reason why I use silicone wiper refills.

I did some TriCo Teflon with the blade holders and lefty chatters on the way down. These are new on a brand new windscreen too!

I had them on an old pitted window too. Same thing. Chatter and streaks after 3 months in a rainy state. Waste of money. . .

Silicon sounds like a novel idea tho.
