I have a 93 Camry V6 XLE automatic with 19X,XXXmiles. The problem I'm have is that my car take off very slow from a complete stop. I would step on the gas pedal all the way down and still very slow. I'm not looking for high proformace stuff I just want my car to take to respond like a V6 should. My mom's neon (4 cylinder) takes off way better than my Camry. Any help would be appricated. Thank You.
tune up? toyota top-end induction cleaning? seafoam? tighten up your tb cables? vacuum leaks (old lines dry rotted out, for $20 you can ebay up enough tube and make things pritty)

The Camry does give bad gas milage and nothing spewing of of the tail pipe, no check engine light, it doesn't hesitate. Even in low gears I don't see any major different. Its really bad from a cold start and even after it warms up there no major difference. If you have any other questions let me know, I'll try to answer them. I'm trying to get it to run normal nothing special. Thanks
come on dude. its a 17 year old car with a sluchbox. its going to slow in time. best bet is a good tune up and cheak you compression. AFC and the T/B. and if you have a fart can on it you might need a silencer to bring back some backpresser. also your timing belt might be streached and running slightly off time. fuel pump feul filter. there are so many things i can say. and none real easy to locate just by asking questions. i would saguest a full tune up. oil, trans fulid, spark plugs, and all filters. fuel filter to. and if you can the timing belt if it hasnt been done in the last 20k. and if it has have the timing cheaked. but good luck with it.

yeah, like warlock said i would check the timing belt. i had a problem similar to this on an old 1990 pathfinder i owned. it was very slow from a start but the engine would rev freely when in neutral. i took it to the shop and it turned out that one of the cam gears had broken from the cam and was just spinning freely. just a thought, i could be completely off though.

I know its an old car but its just doesn't feel right. Even with the ECT button on it still excelerate slow. The timming belt was changed at 186,XXX miles. Anything on the engine that needed to be replaced was done with normal parts nothing high proformance. The exhaust is a normal. I will get a full tune up when I get my taxes. Anybody with there opinion on what they think the problem is please let me know. Thanks
again i agree with 93....mine accelerate pretty slow, i've driven my father in laws 95 camry and a big difference, when i step on the gas it "jumps"...but with mine it just goes up no "jumping" whatsoever....maybe a full tune up is needed, but i dont know...."just doesn't fee right" 93camryv6xle
