So ive been doing some research on some mufflers and i came across the Tsudo N1 universal muffler and the apexi. I still have a little money left after spending it all on Art materials. Will it sound rice if its on a 4cyl?
Any fart-can muffler will make any car sound ricey. Sorry to any who have one(or two ). I've just never been a fan of the fart-can. I'm one of the few who didn't follow the crowd, and got a Magnaflow.
Anyway, if that's your thing, and you want a fart-can, then go for it. Who am I to deny you the sound of fantasticly, ferocious, and furious flatulence?

i had this muffler on my 01 v6 cam at one point. it didnt sound to bad mated with the v6. my brother also had the tsudo n1 catback on his corolla and it sounded very ricey. so i guess i would go with something else if i was to put a new exhaust on a 4 cyl camry, but thats just me.
It really depends on the setup and what your preference is. Canister mufflers can sound good or bad, not all are ricey. I think most consider it rice because of the way it looks and them tending to be loud. Anyways Magnaflow, depending on what setup you got, could still sound ricey. I followed a large crowd; I've gone through 2 Magnaflows with and without resonators. The sound with my Magnaflows were not particularly ricey, but they had a generic deep tone to them. I had since then gone with the Apex'i N1 cat-back and the tone varies depending on the RPM's. It's very low/deep in the lower rev's while it has a somewhat G35/FX tone in the higher rev's. After that, the sound of the intake pretty much drowns it out. Surprisingly, I've heard knock off mufflers of the N1 and they sounded pretty good too (no rasp at all).
The N1 can be a really nice sounding exhaust, but I'm not sure it looks the best on a Camry. I think certain canister mufflers can look pretty good on smaller cars (Integra's, RSX's, etc). I'm content with the sound, but I now I think something like the Apex'i WS would look a little better and is definitely more unique than a Magnaflow. Anyways that's my take on it.

True man, i watched some vids on tsudo n1 on youtube but, some didnt really sound that rice, (fart). What kind of magnaflow is good and also i like the Apexi N1 cat back, it was my second choice.
^ you do realize that pseudo N1 was on the SAME CAR you have, right? you think it sounds farty?

it all depends on the setup you are running. the N1 will sound "ricey" if your running with no resonator and no cat. but with thoes components it should sound good. also..."ricey" is a subjective term, its all depends on what you consider ricey.
honestly, thats really the best setup. if you do a whole cat back system, kiss your back pressure and low end torque goodbye.

I have an Apexi N1 system on my Talon. Sounds great, not ricey at all. Of course, it's a turbo car so the sound from an n/a engine would be quite different.
i have hks exhaust tip/muffler w/ a 2.5" cat back exhaust... i think its to quiet at low rpms... for me... but with the addition of my intake, mid rpms i've been told its sounds like a supra... and high rpms its scary loud and sounds like an airplane... ha ha... just what ever u get, make sure u get a silencer to go with it... a cop wont car if its legal he still can get u a ticket and i still pay the small court fee... so yea. i have a vid of how my use to sound on myspace some where... u can check it out here: myspace . com / dsi4sitd
