Please help me , PO 402

HI friends,
My 2001 Toyota Camry LE the check engine light has come and I took it to Autozone .After checking report told me that error code is PO 402 and EGR insufficent flow.Autozone asked me to pour Seafoam auto marine fleet(which cleans carbon).Now they resetted and now no engine check light and please guide me what to do.
How serious is this error code? I bought this car 3 days ago ..

Additional Details

P0402 (EGR insufficent low detected) this is the error I got .Now they resetted .how critical issute this ?do i need to visit the mechanic immdtly?

i assume this was an V6 2001 camry, the 1MZ does have a rather overused EGR system with thin tubes so it gets dirty over the years

if there's no more code after reset, looks like seafoam did its job.

No need to panic on that code, My parents Avalon has the same code here is what it boiles down to.. The EGR system is an emissions system, It consists of 3 parts the EGR valve and sensor, the EGR modulator, and the VSV valve, also some miscellanous hoses and lines.. All these valves can be tested, but many places choose to replace all three components without testing them because of the cost of the items compared to the cost of the tests because of the time involved.. You have time to shop around I recomend you do so, no rush on this code..

Thanks for your response,Auto zone person resetted engine check and after that I poured sea foam .

DO I need to go to mechanic again if the check light comes back? or otherwise can I just leave it????

On the Avy the light takes 200 to 500 miles to reset the light back on. My parents leave the light on and no ill effects (except possibally minimal gas millage loss) will come of it BUT BEWARE other codes can get stored and you will not know because the light is already on..
