What do you think? a swap to think about...

I was looking a some engines today and ran across this one....

I says for 1997 Celica only... but didn't that year have the engine as the 97-01 Camry? Or was that the mr2.... any ways would this be the same as the 3S swap from MR2 to Camry or am i looking at something else?

the 3s-fe was in the Celica right? so it wouldnt be much if any power gains over the stock 99 2.2L 5F?

3s-fe = power loss
3s-ge = tq loss
3s-ge vvt-i = power gain (beams)
3s-gte = power gain (tq loss but who cares)

thats the 3s-gte with the tmic.......

i though the top mount intercoolers only came on the mr2?

Ya that got me to i didn't think the top mounted air was on the Celica.... Speaking of swaps the other thought was getting a hold of a gen 4 v6 camry but would i need to swap transmission also? or are they the same.... I have the auto =(

I would but for some reason on my comp it doesn't work more then half the time =( sorry i know about it just my computer sucks haha but ya no hard feelings i know what you mean its annoying going over the same stuff and cluttering the forums with the same old stuff.

That 3sgte is a gen four from the Caldina. Swapping would be difficult---Wiring, Ecu Not Included.
