Help with Camry XLE radio wiring
Help!
My 99 XLE CD player gave up a few years ago, and I replaced the head (with an Alpine 9881), bypassing the amp. At the same time I replaced the rear deck speakers with Infinity Kappa 6 X 9s. The result was extremely disappointing. The midrange is so dominant it drives me crazy. I usually just leave it off. On a lark I put the factory head back ( a Delco 09355969), and it sounds much better. Hence my questions - Should I port the Alpine through the factory amp? Is this possible/advisable? Will it sound any better? I assume the factory system has some equalization to it, is it in the head or in the amp? All help appreciated.
