Please help with V6 swap

as the title states im in the process of doing a i4 to v6 swap. anyway when it came time to hook up the ecu i had gotten for it the top connector doesnt match up. the plug for the ecu is suppose to be a 28p but the one that is on the harness is a 20p. (i think the connector is on the dash harness.) do i have to replace the dash harness to fix this problem? or is there another alternative to fixing it. i still have my i4 ecu if that helps.

p.s. its a 97 camry

You're gonna need to swap in the V6 ECU and the V6 dash harness.

why are there THAT many missing wires? also, what sensor plugs are you missing in the engine bay? what did you swap, and what didn't you swap? I presume that you swapped the engine harness (came with motor?), which means that the motor side should clip in just fine, but the dash related harness may not

you can, at this point, either swap the dash harness, or start going through the dash harness pin-out and see where the differences lie

when i did mine, i swapped the dash harness(connected in the dash), the cowl harness(under the dash, connected to the body under the windshield), the motor harness(obvious) and the harness that goes around the front of the engine bay. basically everything lol.

if youre switching to push button HVAC controls, dont forget the blower motor resistor and the small wiring harness that goes to it.

Switching from even a manual to automatic has different dash harnesses, so I would assume the same thing would happen going from a I4 to a V6.

is the dash harness the one that connects to the speedo?
