4th Generation 99 5SFE 3000+ RPM on Start up

I recently rebuilt my 99 camry 5SFE, including an automatic transmission swap. Each time I try to start it, it fires up and the rpm climbs towards redline, where I immediately shut it down. As far as I can tell, all vacuum lines are connected as before. I tried disconnecting the cables to the throttle body, but it had no effect.

sounds like a MASSIVE vacuum leak!

did you use all new gaskets and made sure they were properly tq'ed down?

make sure too the egr isn't directly connected to vacuum

Pop off the main hose to the throttle body, and see what the throttle plate is doing during this. Also check to see if the idle air control valve is sucking like a madman (even though I don't think it's even possible to redline the engine using just the IAC air path).
