don't feel bad. It just means that you need a bigger fuse in there. looks like your power draw was more than the fuse can handle. I am blanking out right now but there is a very simple equation that you can use to calculate what size fuse you will need for the amount of power you need for your amp/subs/etc.

Also,a very good possibility-check entire system wiring for shorts. The fuse,by the way,is doing it's job...protectting the battery... If you have a short somewhere, any brand fuse will "pop"...

Its def the power wire. I just switched to a 4 gauge to get it to fit thru the hole I want to and the fuse in the cord completely burned. So I hooked up the 00 Gauge on the outside(just to make sure I didn't blow out the amp and the amp gets power from that now??) maybe i should buy a bigger fuse for the 4 gauge and how do i know wat size to get?

Do you have anything downstream from the power wire to protect the electronics? Depending on the temp rating of the insulation, 4 gauge is good for anywhere from 70 to 95 amps, but you need something downstream of the power cable so your system doesn't blow to protect the fuse

What was the rating of the fuse that was originally installed in the cable?

What sort of power draw are you looking at?
