Big 3 upgrade?

I have a stock Gen 4 Camry and was wondering how to upgrade the wire from alt to battery? Do I have to splice into the plug? Thanks.

I ordered a 4 gauge grounding kit off eBay a while back but I am waiting for the weather to get warmer before I start working on my car any further. I don't believe that you need to splice anything to upgrade. When it comes to grounding, the more points you have the better so you are much better off leaving all the grounds you have and just adding more.

What ever came of upgrading and grounding and all this? I've just purchased a second amplifier for my car audio system and it warns that I may want to upgrade some of my engine wiring to 4AWG. So I know it's and old thread, but wondering what people know about upgrading this kind of thing?
Thanks!

EDIT: Oh, I'm going to be running a 300/4 and a 250/1 JL amp. So it's a combined 550 watts rms, not entirely sure what other information is needed. I am running a 4AWG wire to the amp's...
