Bendix OEM ceramic is my vote.

Mine do make a high pitch squeal when you first apply the brakes and are quiet all day after that. They stop on a dime and don't fade easily.

PS - the squeal is not audiable (just high pitch) with windows up and certainly nothing like those fancy German cars. . .

Good Pads. . .

Welcome to the forum!

Assuming you are talking about the rotors that bended (warped) there's many different kinds of course. They're all a big hunk of machined steel if you ask me. I did my ex-wife's solara a while ago and just got two cheap rotors for $35 each. (that's almost as cheap as having them turned, usually a useless exercise anyway.)

If you want to spend more on rotors you can, if you decide on something exotic like ventilated rotors remember you'll need pads made for them not just any old pads.

IMO you get what ya pay for and cheap materials tend warp sooner. If the labor costs more than the parts, get the better quality rotor, maybe even a toyo part.

Brembo rotors. TN members bought them on Amazon. Raybestos Advanced Technology rotor is supposed to be fine too. Or their $17 Raybestos service grade rotors on rockauto.com. They seem to work for typical driving just fine too. I wouldn't use Toyota rotors with all the warping problems they have post 2001. I think they may have switched to cheap suppliers now.

I like to spec Akebono ProAct ceramic brake pads for typical driving.

or Hawk HPS brake pads for performance braking. Not sure if you can get matching front/rear on some applications. If not, I'd stick with ProAct for normal driving both front and rear.

You can check with the Toyota counter, if you see "AK xxx-xxx FF" markings on the back then they're fine, those would be Akebonos. Walk away if you see "NBK xxx-xxx", IMO those are junk. It depends on who's the lowest bidder of the batch.
