SPRING question

Does anyone know if the strut springs from a camry 98 v6 are stiffer and than the strut springs from a camry 98 i-4?

The rear springs of that generation I4 were a joke. They were weak and like to sag with anybody sitting in the back. Cost cutting I guess, since most sold were I4s.

Rockauto show only one number -- the same for V6 and I4. So I think the I4 spring was correctly junked.

oh ok. thanks guys. Has anyone tried to swap out the stock springs for springs from another car that are stiffer and maybe let the front sit slightly lower than the rear. I'm avoiding buying after market springs because of the cost. You can get springs from a junk yard pretty cheap. I just need to know how to get a stiffer spring that also is shorter.

if your trying to lower the car and cant afford aftermarket springs then just hang around the for sale section and youll find a good deal on actual lowering springs. you wont find stock springs that are stiff and lower period. the only stock springs that are significantly stiffer are the gen3 SE springs, but they are not lower. what engine do you have?
