Gen 3 and 4 Rear Drum to Disc DIY

it doesn't matter your just swapping over. the hub would be different that's all. no abs parts are on the rear discs at all.

all you need is the backing plate rotor and caliper assembly.

the hub and knuckle has the abs parts on it, those you don't need.

I have a question also....

I want to get rid of the rear drums, is the process of going from drum to disc a simple task? Would i run into any issues during the process?

Thanks

It's a pretty simple task, travis. The only thing you might run into is some rust on some of the screws/bolts holding some of the exhaust heat shields on. nothing major. I saw you posted on the DIY thread. Ask me if you need anything.

Kenny- rear disks are more efficient than drums and perform much better. The 5S didnt get them because of less weight and power when compared to the 1MZ sedan/wagon/ES300, but it does see an improvement from a rear disk upgrade.
