1998 Camry dome light

I have a 1998 Camry that I have had to replace the dome light bulb every 1-2 months. I have checked voltage. Used different brand bulbs. Had the dealer replace it, all with the same results. This has be going on for approximately 2 years. Please help if you have experienced a similar problem.

Intermittent short?

Could be an intermittent short. Have you checked the amount of CURRENT GOING THROUGH THE CIRCUIT?

Check yer contacts and make sure everything is tight. Sounds like a loose wire is spiking the power...probably the ground.

Has there been an aftermarket alarm installed? Or anything else that has been tapped into the door trigger switches that would affect the dome light circuit??

I'd say a bad switch somewhere!
