Loud Click from front end?

For the last couple of weeks, i have been hearing a loud click coming from the front passenger side of the car when either slowly taking off or right before coming to a stop. It seems like it only happens when the engine is cold. Anyone have any ideas what can be causing this?

It's a 2000 Camry V6 Le, about 105,000 miles

Does it happen when the weight of the vehicle shifts?

no, never happens while turning. And none of the cv boots are torn or anything, so it shouldnt be the axle, right?

Its not when the weight shifts either, because it will do it like 1 or 2 seconds after taking off.

Is it repeatable when cold? If so put the shifter into L and try again. I wonder if this noise happens when the transmission shifts from 1 to 2.

Just throwing out ideas, trying to identify the circumstances when the noise occurs.

Is it just one click, no matter what, or multiple clicks below a certain speed?

Does the click seem to be coming from outside the passenger compartment (i.e., engine or wheel area) or inside the passenger compartment (say, from behind the glove box).

Do you have ABS?
