3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
they had some a while back but they loked a little different than that. honestly its worth it if you want them. but you could prolly build a set fairly easily.
Honestly I don't think it's worth the amount of money they're asking for.. You really could build your own set, though I'm not sure how exactly to go about it. For myself, I painted mine on with a spray can. I've heard tape also can work. But if you want to go for that professional look, you're going to have to do some fiberglassing.
you can do it with fiberglass yourself. but unless you have a dremel and maybe a sander. material will cost you around $50, with the mat, fiberglass and resin, painters tape, paint brushes, bondo, and even more for paint....it can be done and its fun to play with.
the only problem i remember with the gen4 is that little bump on the top of the headlight
^ those look pretty cool, but I don't think they would fit my car very well without having a kit...
I was looking more for the ones that are straight across, following the contour/lip of the headlight itself.
If I have to spend $50 on materials to DIY, I'd rather spend the $50 on ones that are already made for me. I've never tried fiberglass and I don't wanna f**k up my headlights or waste a bunch of money.
The final decision is up to you, if you want the experience or if you want the product.. if you already have some materials its usually cheaper to just make it on your own and you also get the fun out of doing something for the car. If you want to just buy it, then go right ahead, and it'll look good and all but you don't get the experience of doing it.
That price is really good. I just got a pair of them for like 95.00 for a different shop online. But they are carbon fiber so that might be why the price jumped.... I should actually be getting them in the mail today!

Just finished my engine/trans swap and a few other custom things. I think I've got enough experience for the year, haha.
If I had the materials or the know how, I would try it. But I don't. I'll probably just buy the vinyl ones. Carbon fiber is ugly (to me) and also like $40 more.
Should I paint them to match the car, or leave them black?
