00 Camry Help

I have a 2000 camry 120k miles on it no accidents.
Here is the problem
I was driving it after the blizzard that hitted the east coast 2 weeks ago...i came across a thick patch of snow which i had no choice but to drive through it and it got stuck.... so i was forcing the car, the engine reved up to 6k rpm and i kept doing that for about 3 mins trying to push the car out. the wheels keep spinning in one place and all of a sudden the car gave out. I tried to restart the engine but it wouldn't start. All i hear is a clicking noise that might be coming from the starter... Anyone know what could be the problem? I know the engine is still good. What components could be causing it not to start? PLZ Help

thanks

You're supposed to go back and forth when stuck in the snow man..It didn't overheat by any chance, did it? Is the starter able to crank the engine at all?

Over revving might have starved the engine of lubrication, or maybe just finished off a marginal engine. Did the engine over heat, over reving is bad enough but if it happens with overheating - not good.
Your engine might have seized up so tight it cannot crank over, or a main bearing or rod bearing may have been wrecked.

Nothing to lose now so try and start it anyway you can. Try and turn the engine over by hand, use a big socket (22 mm i think) on a big pry bar on the crankshaft pulley bolt (clockwise only, facing the engine) and see if you can turn the engine over. If you can turn it, remove the spark plugs, crank it by hand and listen for expensive noises.
If it turns your starter may just have been affected by heat so give that a try, either way you crank it pay attention to any noises you might hear -

If the engine won't budge, you've got problems with this engine and it probably has to come apart, or get replaced.

If you can start it somehow, listen carefully to the engine for expensive noises and have the oil pressure checked (10 psi per 1000 rpm is the minimum acceptable, at 3,000 rpm you need at least 30 psi for example.)

Not that it does you any good now, but when i lived in snow country i always carried two pairs of emergency chains for the driving wheels, they were basically two straps with chains that went through the holes in the wheels, 180 degrees apart. I used to get stuck in snow and mud all the time, these little chains got me unstuck every time.

How much of the electrical system works (lights, etc.)? Anything electrical that doesn't work?

Try jumping a big wire from your (+) on the battery over to the main starter lug to see if the starter turns.
