Does anybody use A Synthetic ATF?

Does anybody here use a Synthetic ATF Fluid such as Mobil-1's ATF? Does it work good with our Gen 3 Trannys?...........

Heard they work well. Fluid stays red and fresh longer. The Dexron II/III ATF is the mainstay for ages. So these are pretty standard stuff.

Walmart also has synthetic blends <$4/quart. Used to be the licensed SuperTech Mercon-V that's also suitable in D-III, T-IV and WS, but now they phased in a new D-III/Mercon-V synthetic blend that's no longer T-IV or WS suitable.

The main thing is to drop the pan, clean it, change the strainer. There is no decent filtration in these. Or get a Magnefine filter, put if after the cooler on the line back to the transmission.
