Alarm beeps, strut replace questions

Okay. Just bought a NICE 97 Cam 2.2 Auto trans with 92k on it. paid 4 grand. Have put two thousand miles on it, and i love the car! much better than my old taurus. couple questions tho

Sometimes, when i lock/unlock the doors with the remote, it beeps and the lights flash. most of the time, the car doesnt beep, but the lites still flash. I like the audible beep. Anybody have any idea on how to fix this? maybe replace the beeper, but where is it?!?

Also, the lites behind the AC controls and by the shifter on the console are not working. no other lites are burned out. I looked around here and couldnt find a DIY on how to take this apart.......

Also the struts have that rattle that everyone is so familiar with. I took a chance and bought monroe quick struts. The entire piece, assembled. I had good luck with the monroes on my domestics. Anybody can point me to a good writeup on changing the struts? i hope the quickstruts save me a few hours and some bloody knuckles........... thanks!

i can weigh in on the beeping issue - i had the same problem. the part thats going bad is the piezo chirper. at lease on my car, its under the hood and was zip tied near the brake booster. its cylindrical with the diameter size about a quarter and the length of 1-2 inches.

manufacturer:
http://www.floydbell.com/products/m80.php
the part number for our camrys is M-80W (has the longer wire) and sells for $7.98 plus $3.62 for shipping. if i bought 10 of them, then the price would drop to 6.98 each

how to install is in this thread:
Beep sound broken for doors need advice
