Lightbulb Ripp SC KIt for 5fse

http://www.gtoctane.com/product_info...65ql8e8taagll1

I have never seen this. Just turbo for the 5FSE any one know anything about it...... Any idea on what you need besides the kit? I'm guessing you need to tune everything just like the turbo... thats kinda a given but what are the pros and cons of the turbo and the SC....
Just want to see what all you think about it.

I'm looking for a project this summer..... hehehe

Too bad they stopped making them roughly 6 years ago(there is only a handful out there), i bought a second hand one 12 months ago. I you look at that link it clearly says "Designed to bolt up to the 6G72 V6 (six cylinder) 3.0L engine." THIS WILL NOT FIT

See i saw that to but if you go to the link it says both the v6 and the 5fse on there that was a little strange but hmm i guess its going to be hard to find one if they stopped making them 6 years ago....

they stopped making them because people realized that $3-5 grand for like 50hp was stupid

So is it the turbo or a supercharger....?

It says supercharger but the picture is a turbo.

Either way, turboing would be cheaper and probably be better for the 5SFE

It is a supercharger. The picture is of a centrifugal supercharger, not a turbo.

50hp for 3-5K what would a turbo be running like 8PSI about the same once you rebuild your tranny and engine pluse get all the custom parts and get it all together. but what kinda HP would you get? it seems you are better off swapping the 5fse for the 1mz... then going from there if your looking for numbers over 200.... cause a 5fse to 1mz swap is what maby 2k at most?

thats what i would recommend but most dont want to hasslel with a full swap..plus they want to do it wrong and keep an auto tranny in there.

honestly you don't need much room.

I would not expect the price to be anything relatively feasible.

That's one of those things where if you don't do it yourself, I can't imagine paying someone to do it.

Wait till the summer and DIY.
