4th Generation 1MZ tune issue, off idle flat spot..

My 1MZ 5 speed has a tendancy to want to bogg in just as I let the clutch out when taking off... No problem at any other time.

So unless I'm Super carefull with the clutch,
or give it too many revs, say 12 - 1500 rpm on take off,
it will want to take a dive... and has even stalled a few times..

It's not me, I had plenty of manuals over last 30 plus years driving ok..

I wonder if the TPS is out of adjustment...

It's a 99 model Tourer.

Is there a simple check or should I move it clockwise or the other way..
Or is there maybe someother reason for the 'low rev flat spot'.. ??

No the cluch and pressure plate feel fine..

It feels like there is a 'lean' situation on initial throttle opening...
It kind of dies in the arse, like it has too much air and not enough fuel...

That is why I thought maybe TPS... but actually I haven't a clue, and hardly eben know what I am talking about...

but yeah it is a pain and kind of spoils the car...
Having to 'rev' it and / or slip the clutch on take off..

A stranger would stall it for sure..

Otherwise it is great.. except the inside edges of tyres scrub out..

^ I agree...check clean your MAF first as well, and also try resetting the ecu

it may be a sensor related hiccup
