My 2nd sensor has been disconnected now for about 3,000 miles and still no c.e.l. comes on. Why's that? I had the pre-cat one disc. also and the light came on after around 500 mils. 95 LE ,obdI, It is NOT II

I've experimentally run my rig for over a week (roughly 200 miles) with either the front or rear O2 sensor disconnected, and I've never been able to get a CEL. I have no trouble getting a CEL when I simulate other sensor failures. Same rig as yours -- 95 LE.
