Hey guys, just replaced my valve cover gasket and I took a few shots so I could find out if its fairly clean or not....it doesnt look too bad to me but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts?
Thanks
I change my oil every 5,000 km or 3 months whichever comes first. Using Castrol, I got the car off an old lady who neglected it and didnt do oil changes regularly.

Thats not that bad then. Keep on changing the oil at that interval and it should clear up over time. I would NOT use seafoam or anything else in there, that just some varnish buildup nothing to freak/worry out about.
Some synthetic blend oil or straight up synthetic would clean that out pretty quick if that will make you feel better.
IMO, Castrol every 5000km is good enough. The fresh oil should slowly degrade the deposits and clean it right up. I wouldn't recommend any synthetic or harsh cleaners like seafoam. You are treating your engine well.
