Hi everybody, I purchased my Camry car here in Saudi Arabia before 6 months with no keylees remote from owner.Camry 1996 Toyota Sedan Engine 3.0L V6 Automatic Transition.
My question
How can i know my car support keylees remote or no?
if support
what is the programming instruction?
From anywhere can i buy the remote?
Regards,
The receiver for the factory keyless system is usually installed under the driver's seat if i'm not mistaken. Model number RS3000... I think. Look around this site. Search is your friend!
Do a search for programming instructions. They may also be in the DIY. You can find the remotes on ebay.

do you have a toggle switch in the driver side kick panel... look to the left of the parking break foot pedal... if its there you can get the remote from the dealer ship but if you dont want to do that just get a new alarm installed! i just had my stock alarm pulled out and replace with a VIPER one.... my stock one locked me in and locked me out of my car so i was done!

He may not have a toggle switch there. They tend to be put in many different places. The kick panel is one place it could be, if there even is one. The easiest way is to look for the remote ECU (usually under the drivers seat.)

or an aftermarket alarm system, they almost always have keyless entry incorporated into them.

If it was a OEM Toyota system there, that's new news to me.

Hi, I'm a newbie. Well, I took my car for detailing at Ziebart yesterday and last night my keyless entry wouldn't work. Tested the batteries and those are fine. I have one of the semi-oval remotes and can't get it to work. I have tried to look for a switch but can't find one on the vehicle. Ziebart said to bring it back and they will have a look. But i don't wanna pay to have it looked at.
