Gauge pods

I am going to get an oil pressure gauge due to my recent failure to make sure that never happens ever again.

Firstly, any recommendations for that? I was just gonna get something like:

I've heard pods from a Mustang pillar will fit? Or does anyone know any cars that the pillar pods will fit? I'm not trying to dash mount this, it would look like shit.

Yeah?

Also, a side question:
Anyone know any good online companies for reman engines? I tried a bunch of companies and they all turned out to be scams. I'm talking about finding companies like Jasper, but Jasper won't sell to the public

Thanks for that link. Did you ever paint the whole thing so it didn't look so contrasting?

You can hit it with some plastic specific paint (kryon fusion, etc). That tends to work best on hard plastics. I've redone many interior pieces. The A-pillar trim is easy to remove anyways.

No, it doesn't look bad in black, but as LynchburgCSI says you can paint it. The gauge pod company is just up the road from you in Durham. The pod is generic and so will not be a totally tight fit. I used some black silcone to fill in the small spaces. I also found that a few rivets help hold the pod on the pillar better. If using rivets drill one hole then attach rivet, next hole then rivet, etc., don't drill all the holes then try to rivet as the holes won't line up.

Are you sure you're not going to be annoyed of the 7 different colors that oil gauge projects?

Just a thought, since I was looking at the same one awhile back.

Well there's a button you press to change the colors, I thought.

I'd rather be annoyed by the lights than lose oil pressure and not know it...again.

Good point,
but then again, just a thought, since the item description said "automatic"
