Help door wont open!

Hi guys my sister has a 1996 v4 camry, this morning I used it to boost my other sisters 06 corolla because it was completely dead. Then later on in the day the driver side door wouldnt open when I turned the key. When I turn the key to lock it makes thenoise when I turn to open it doesn't. The passenger side door works perfectly find and I cant open the driver side door from the inside either. The window function and open n close door work fine from the driver side panel. Let me know if you guys know anything, the cars a daily driver for work,
Thanks.

Hi there and to TN!

Your problem sounds like what I have on my passenger right door. To my knowledge and what you have said, I dont think the jump starting and the door not auto lock/unlocking is related. It might just be a coincidence that the two events happened at the same time.

There is a guy who fixed this saying that it was an electrical problem. Link attached:

This happened to my passenger side door. May I ask how cold it is where you are? My door handle (or something inside) froze from the extreem cold and started working again when it thawed out.

If your ambitious you may be able to remove the interior door handle beezle (search the stickies) and use plyers to move the bars that operate the door.
