1mzfe turbo injector question

I am wondering what injectors I can use for a turbo set up on my 1mzfe? I am going to use a STM6 piggy back which can control bigger injectors plus a FPR. Right now I am looking a using 460cc 88-91 rx7 non turbo injectors Pt. #195500-2010. Will these work/fit? Some people said to use non turbo Supra injectors, these are smaller but will they work as well?

Yes the rx7 injectors will work/i can just put them in and go? Yes, the SMT6 can do that, at least that what the guy at Ida Automotive told me, which is where I bought it from.

it all depends on what your power goal is and whether you are building your motor or not.

let's say if u want to get your 180WHP 1MZ to 230WHP...then u don't need bigger injectors, but then what's the point of gaining 50whp when ur going turbo right?

from 250~350WHP, non turbo supra injectors will be alright. IIRC they are 315 cc/min.
470cc/min is a really high jump and it will probably be good for 500whp, but then your stock long block will explode with that kind of power.

I'm leaning towards the rx7 injectors because I can lean them out if I need to. I just wanna know that they will fit and work.

will fit and work

smt6 is out dated big time i bought mine 5 years ago , the smt 8 is out and better because it does dual o2 sensor augmentation over the single of the smt6

also the smt6 will not control the injectors like a stand alone (i.e. megasquirt) it will just adjust the maf reading so it will think it is pulling cooler (richer) or hot (lean) air

now if your running an ct26 stay stock, slightly larger go supra, if your going to boost on the rx7 your going to need standalone or else the ecu will freak when going -60% to 0% correction, also the stock ecu will not adjust too well over 20%

Yeah tuning will be tricky unless you are experienced, go with 20% over stock and get a rising rate regulator for an easier setup.

I was orginally going to get a SMT8 but a couple of the dealers told me that they were having probems. One dealer told me that they don't even sell the SMT8 because it had too many kinks in it still.

What year non turbo supra are those 315s from? Part number? I think I will get these.

Im not sure what your power goals are,but the 1mzfe uses top feed fuel rail which makes it easier to fit larger fuel injectors so your fine.Making any Major changes to your engine like this as chronoti stated will make your ecu unhappy. Piggy back standalone you choose.
Calculations:

Starting with the Flow figure of 315cc

315cc/5=63hp. 63hp= Maximum fuel flow with the 315cc injector.
63(hp)X6(Number of injectors you will be using)=378hp(100% duty cycle)
378(hp)X0.80(80% duty cycle)= 302.4hp at 80% duty cycle Which is were you want to be.

Thats what you would be getting with the 315cc injectors.
