secptre intake

Anyone try one of these over the k&n? How good are they? Worth anything in mileage gains or performance gains? My car is bone stock, it just needs a little more pep.

aint gonna do *much =)

theres always this discussion:

1. suck in hot air(relative) from engine bay, vs cold(er) air from under bumper/fender.

2. every so slightly less restriction from weird bends in stock pipe

3. sounds louder(better? subjective)

4. looks shiny

5. cost. regular filters are like $5. most people will change it every tune up, which could happen twice on a car lol.

so, if you like points 3 and 4 go for it

otherwise stick to the ol drop in style.

as a more useful response ill present the following. the intakes on these cars do very little but increase throttle response. so the only reason to pay big is to get longer life and better quality. they will both perform the same and will both sound great.... in other words, aint gonna do shit =). so just get the cheaper one.

I don't mean a short ram intake or cold air, I was talking a drop in filter.
I'm thinking a drop in filter and header would be good for a few hp. NO?

EDIT: WTF happened to the prices on headers, I checked ebay and they are all $190+
