um ok so ...

my interior gauge cluster lights + front parking (orange markers) + rear parking lights (orange markers) + license plate lights arent working when i flip the switch

they all work and turn on fine when i use the lock/unlock function on my viper alarm remote..so i figure no blown bulbs/fuses..

but they just dont switch on when i tell them to with the headlight switch/dildo thing on the side of the steering wheel

any help plz...i cant drive at night without these parking lights and im a graveyard worker

The switch is probably bad. Had the same thing happen to me. My lights were all on, i signaled a right lane change, and the dash lights went out. I drove it for 2 days in the dark like that before i rigged a little switch up. Basically all you do is jump a little wire to ground, i just put a switch in that jumper.

Or you could spend $100 on a new switch from the dealer and take your steering wheel off... I'll be doing that eventually but for now my little $3 fix from radio shack is working fine.

Check Haynes or free repair guide on Autozone (w/ registration) on diagnosis procedure.

Bump, did you ever find out what the problem was?? If it is in fact the steering column switch, contact Gabe, he's parting out a gen 3 Camry and will probably be able to provide you with that switch:
