4th Generation 97 camry 2.2 stall intermittently and fuel leak

Hello
I am new here but have owned several toyotas over the years. I had a 1982 pickup, 1991 pickup, and a 89 supra.
My girlfriend owns a 97 camry 2.2 134k miles
It has recently started to stall out at idle (in park or gear) or low speeds ( coming to a stop sign or a turn). It also seems to have a miss if you hold it in gear (auto, lever in low or 2nd) and under load at about 2kto4.5k rpms
It seems to be the classic 2.2 idle problem. I have tried:
1.changing the spark plugs with Ngk's
2. tested resistance of plug wires- 10.5 10.0 8.62 6.52
" " acrossterminal of coils 12.32
plug wires are original and pretty old
3 ran obd2 codes- got a 1300- igniter #1 but erased the code and after 20miles has not returned but problem is still there
4 cleaned Tb and IAC with Tb cleaner then used seafoam in the intake track. seemed to improve the overall smoothness of the motor, but still stalls. With the plastic hose off and the motor running, you can hear the IAc trying to adjust the idle and when the car stalls out you can hear the IAC open all the way (large sucking sound) to try and compensate for the stalling condition
5 tried removing and plugging the vac to the egr, but no change ( still stalls)

Another problem I have discovered with the car that may or may not be related to the stalling is there is a fuel leak coming from the top of the fuel pump housing. It has the 1 fuel feed hose coming off of the plastic housing. It has a quick disconnect end to the hose. I assume this is what it is since the hose doesn't have a fitting for a wrench. It seems to be seeping from the connection from the hose, but I'm not quite sure. It looks like it has been oozing for some time so it is all over the top of the tank. I can see actual fuel glistening on the top of the fuel pump housing. Could this be reducing the fuel pressure of the system and causing the problem? When the car stalls, I can hear the pump and it sounds exactly as when the car is running.
If anyone can give me some advice on what to do next. I don't want to throw parts at it but am not sure what to try next. Should I try the wires or the igniter (due to the code) and what to do to fix the fuel leak?
thanks in advance for any help!
