96 Camry clunking noise from front right wheel when turning

Whenever I take turns (sharp) in my 1996 camry I hear a clunk sound coming from the front passenger side wheel, any ideas what it could be? Had the wheel off today, axles look good. think it could be a tie rod? wheel bearing?

I'm a noob, but did you check CV boots? Mines are ripped and make a clicking noise along with some other noises that are hard to describe...

I'm switching out the axles to hopefully fix the problem.

Check the lower ball joint. Use a pry bar with about 1/2 the weight lifted off the wheel. Slightest visible movement just replace it.

Check the control arm bushings as well while at it.

Check the three nuts on the strut towers.

could be a tie-rod end as well .. while checking the ball joints, grab a hold of the tire at 3 O' Clock and 9 O' Clock and pull and push lightly .. if you feel your tire making a popping clicking sound / feeling pull the tire off and grab a hold of the tie rod end and pull straight up and down on it. Again, feel for popping and clicking. If you dont feel popping or clicking up and down, grab a hold of the middle of the tierod and pull and push (In and out). If everything is tight, your inner and outer tie rods are good.

edit:

lol . holy crap this thread is old
