o2 Sensors

I was doing a bit of research into oxygen sensors and found this page on the web. Makes interesting reading.

Here's what they had to say about one of the sensors... "Double shelter extend maintains right building block degree of heat concerning faster reply epochs and protects the ceramic proper sphere for silicone polymer and top toxic condition"

Or how about..."This combined according to other Denso high-pitched character features including untainted nerve lodging and poriferous polytetrafluoroethylene filtrate entirely lead to do a longing lifetime oxygen sensor accompanying improved weapon public presentation and greater fire efficiency."

Anybody have a clue what this is all about ??

sound like a google translation of an asian language. The derogatory term is Chinglish.

There was a restaurant at the Beijing Olympics that had a sign up over it that read "DNS server not found" or something to that order.

This could be the same sort of thing.

Absolutely no idea what they're talking about. Does sound like Google computer translation.

Today's oxygen sensors last a lot longer. I personally like to use Bosch planar type when available, it's more resistant to contamination than traditional thimbles. Some don't like Bosch sensors for some reason, but I have no problems with them on various makes import and domestic.

One of the most popular planars is the 15733 universal (pig tail wires only, no connector). I just splice the old OEM connector on there using the kit for approved applications and the price is right. Yes, always select parts from the manufacturer's catalog.
