just this morning i've notice there was a coolant leak on the driver side of the car...does anyone know if its the hoes that are bad or are there something else that can be the problem.
Could be the radiator (they crack), could be the main coolant hose on that side, could be one of the smaller coolant bypass hoses or heater hoses. Only way to tell is take a look -- psychic mechanics charge too damn much.
Yeah, you need to look under the hood to find the source of the leak. And find the highest spot where it is wet, that will likely be the originating spot. You can't ask someone to guess on something like this, just open up the hood and start looking carefully where the highest damp spot is.
it isn't leaking on the radiator, theres just small drips on the bottom of the driver side of the car near the cv boot....thats y i'm assuming that it might be a hose...but i'll check tomorrow morning..

It's probably going to be the heater or coolant bypass hoses -- with the 3VZ the main coolant hoses are both on the passenger side. Start checking around the throttle body and where the heater hoses going into / out of the firewall. Pretty crowded in there (well, OK, the whole engine compartment is crowded), but you might be able to find the seepage.
well at this point im hoping its not another hg problem, as i just swap old my old engine for this one a year ago....im really hoping its just some hoses or something....
if it is another hg problem....then im looking for a new car
i checked today and notice that one of the hoses was leaking...im just not sure what its called so i can replace it but here are some pics for the pros who knows....its not very clear, but its the best i can do..
the leaking hose is the one with the sealant on it....i tried putting some on, but it seems like i miss the spot, plus this is just a temp fix til i get it replace...
this is where its goin...to the firewall i think, as hills posted it might be the heater hose..the leaking hose is the the one that is cris-crossing with the other one...

Looks like one of the heater hoses. I think that's the heater inlet hose -- should go over to a valve near the firewall, with a little hose on the other side of the valve going into the firewall. If it goes straight into the firewall, it's the outlet hose...but I'm pretty sure the outlet hose is the one behind the one we're looking at.

and where would anyone recommend me getting a new one.....i prefer not going to the dealership, but if i have to then i have to...lol....i tried rockauto, but theres too many to choose from and not sure which one i should get...do i get to the that is already molded, or the straight one, ect....too confusing...someone point me to the right direction on this too plz...thanks guys

Inlet vs outlet mainly matters if you want to get a pre-molded hose (I find pre-molded easier to work with, but it's a matter of preference). Since the leaker is going into the heater control valve (the "block thingy"), then you're looking at the inlet hose. Toyota part number is 87245-33030 -- should be able to cross-reference that to a pre-molded hose. I think the Gates equivalent is part #19085 -- you could take a look at the picture on the Rockauto or the Gates site to see if it matches the hose you're looking at. Gates tends to make decent hoses and belts, and the savings is pretty considerable over OEM cost.
The Toyota Part Number 87245-33030 has an MSRP of $49.84. You can get it wholesale from 1sttoyotaparts.com for $35.96, but after you pay shipping, you aren't saving much. Good luck on finding an molded equivalent at an auto parts store.
