So recently my CEL came on , I tightened up the gas cap and the CEL went off , now it is back on , and I have tried tightening up the cap again to no avail. I am looking at replacing the cap, but was wondering if anyone would recommend one over another. I could get an OEM replacement from the dealer or an AFM one from AZ or Orielly's that has venting, any input? Thanks
Just get the OEM -- you know the system will work with it, and although percentage wise they're quite a bit more expensive than aftermarket, in terms of absolute dollars they're pretty cheap.

I went with a locking gas cap on my 1997 Camry. It worked fine for a year or so, but I noticed it stopped working after a while...
In northern climates like Minnesota, there's sometimes no problem with the cap or gasket, but sometimes it's a problem with the fill tube. On my Camry, there was a tiny bit of rust pitting on the mouth/lip of the gas fill tube, and no matter how new of a gas cap I used, there was still a leak.
I carefully closed/sealed the fill tube, and carefully used an emory cloth, and some steel wool to brush off the rust & pitting, and smoothed the mouth of the fill tube. Cleaned out the metal dust/shavings carefully, and then put on the gas cap - No problems with the CEL ever since!

Make sure the CEL is from the gas cap. Go to Autozone and get it read for free. Even if the light clears, the code is usually still stored.

I bought an onboard diagnostics checker device from Costco - they were on sale for only $35 bucks one day, and it was the best purchase I've made in a long time! It saved me countless headaches, and it kept me from being ripped off by a crooked repair shop once too!
Check the CEL first, and see for sure just incase. I keep my OBD II thing in my center console. This way I can pull over and check something the moment it lights up my dashboard.
Good Advice. I actually am purchasing an OBDLink Device for my laptop for this kind of stuff, but won't show for another 3 days. I will definately check it then.

I bought that too very good buy, but soon to replaced with a scangauge But yeah, Lynchburg brings up a good point, make sure you are solving the right problem, and if it turns out to be the gas cap, I'd simple go with OEM, it'll save you the headache. Simply because, well, hey it lasted you this long right??

Yeah, the locking gas cap didn't allow the cap door to close unless it was rotated to a very specific angle so the door could clear the locking mechanism.
I'd also recommend the OEM camp over the locking ones. There was a spat of Fuel Theft in the neighborhood, so I put on the locking gas cap after 75% of my gas tank was drained overnight (gas cap door pried open too).
Two weeks later my neighbor called the cops when his dogs barked at somebody outside the house - cops caught two ghetto teenage thug wannabe's pumping gas out of cars in the neighborhood, and trying to run off carrying four 5-gallon gas cans! As if that doesn't look suspicious in the middle of the night!
After I heard of the arrest, I put the OEM cap back on - haven't had a problem since.
