ok this is stumping me. I usually use krylon paint for everything i do to my car. But i have sprayed black krylon plastic adhearing paint and it became tacky. sanded it all down and sprayed normal krylon but its tacky again. i just want to get this on my car already ive had it for 2 weeks now lol.
any ideas for best paint to use?
and its not going to get mounted with 3m tape because i dont trust that stuff at all. so im thinking locktite what you guys think?
I'm not sure about the paint problem, Locktite is a thread locker for nuts and bolts. Do you mean using it on the fasteners and bolting it on instead of using 3M automotive double sided tape? If so then Locktite will certainly keep it tight. 3M tape is also very strong, as long as the surfaces are cleaned of any wax or oil/dirt, and if there is reasonable surface area to mount to the spoiler lip.
hmm so any suggesting on how to prep the surface for the 3m tape? i think im just going to use rubbing alcohol to clean the surface and apply the lip on. Hopefully it will stay on. Another thing that i worry about, is i waxed my car when the paint was dull so i do think the wax is going to come off meaning i cant safetly put the lip on. So now should i repaint the car first then apply the lip then paint the lip or install lip first and paint the whole car??
but remember..if you glue it, maybe in the future you wana take it off, then there goes some of your factory paint.
with the 3m tape you can always remove and put it back on, and also if you keep a close eye on the spoiler you can tell when if or when you need to re-tape it
There is a professional wax remover available from your automotive paint supplier. You will probably have to buy a quart of it though. You could check with a local automotive painting shop to see if they can spare a cup in a glass jar with a metal lid. Bring one with you. (a plastic bottle will probably melt with the cleaner in it)
PM cleanwhitecamry, he had painted his and it looks good. not sure what he used.
+1 except his username is now 4cyl'rthiller or something like that.

There is a spray paint out there that is flexible, so you won't have to worry about it cracking. I just don't know what it's called. I feel like something that would work on fabric/vinyl would be flexible, if you just add a layer of clear coat over that to protect it that might work?
My setup! Im going to prep to surface of the trunk with dish soap to remove oil/dirt, then rubbing alcohol 50% isopropyl rubbing. Then im going to line it up on the trunk sticking it with the 3m red tape. Going to trust the tape, NO Drill, or glue. Going to PAINT the trunk lip with Dupont. Any suggestion anyone?

Yes. Sand and prime everything please. You might wanna use Goop as well as the 3M tape. Just thought i'd add that before Eyeball does.
edit: also, try to get it professionally painted. maybe just the lip. your color match might end up looking like this with Dupont:
