3rd Generation axel boot leaking.

i took my 92 into firestone yesterday because my tire wasnt holding air..and while at work i get a message from the guy at the desk saying my front left axel boot is leaking and i need a brake flush then since they had to do all that they have to top it off with an alignment and all that extra stuff they try to make u stressed about so they can get another $636.13 out of you.....

has anyone replaced the boot before...how much should i expect to pay..

The axle is about 75$ in parts, maybe 125 ish in labor so 200 tops to get it changed. You might wanna change both at the same time ot save on labor since the other one is probably gonna rip soon.

Brake flush is like 65$ at most places, though it has NOTHING related with the axle. There just trying to rip you off.

An alignment isnt always needed when changing the axle but sometimes it is. 75$ or so is what it costs.

That estimate is like 2x as high as it should be for that work.
